The Gothic town of Morella in the province of Castellon in Valencia, Spain is surrounded by a two and a half kilometer wall, with six gates placed at strategic places along the wall. The historic main entrance gate leads to the narrow streets with their tall balconied houses, little shops, cafes, and churches.Located at the gates there are interesting museums showing artifacts and displays of ancient Morella and the surrounding area. The village of Morella stands on top of a huge rock at 1,072 meters above the valley creating a natural fortress for the local residents.Entrance Gate to the Village of Morella, Castellon, El Maestrat, Valencia, Spain, Europe.
