During the reconquest of Spain by the Moors at the beginning of the 13th century, the Morella Castle in Valencia, Spain, was built by the Arabs. Through the ages, the castle was under attack during various wars, and occupied by many different armies.The historic Morella Castle was situated in excellent position on top of the hill (1,072 meters above sea level), with a view across the valley to watch for the attacking foe.
