Take a step back in time and explore the ways of life between 1770 and 1939 at the Village Historique Acadien in Caraquet, New Brunswick in Canada. This incredible historical site has over forty complexes to visit where people dress in ancestral customs.Each person tells a unique story relating to the daily lives of the Acadien people. In this building you will find meat that they hunted or caught to feed themselves and many ways that they found to survive.The Acadien people were the first people to form a white community in North America and all they wanted was to live in peace with the native people, war was not part of their livelihood.
