Roaming the lush green meadows of the Bonaigua Pass in the Pyrenees in Catalonia, Spain, this young foal steps away from its mother for a short period of time. Each day, the horse becomes a little bit braver and explores on his own a little but will not venture too far out of his mother's sight.
With many other horses, this foal will be raised atop this mountain pass that stands at 2,072 meters where he will have free range to roam. Not only are horses raised atop Bonaigua Pass in Catalonia, Spain but you will also cross paths with roaming cows. The fresh air, green grass, wildflowers and tranquility of the Pyrenees is the ideal place for a mare to raise its foal.
This foal stills carries the features of a young horse with its soft looking white coat of fur with shades of caramel throughout as its mother is caramel in color, a short mane that sticks straight up and its short frizzy tail. ... continue below the picture...

The playfulness of a foal and the curiosity that it displays do not seem to last too long due to the fact they are weaned from the mother between four and six months of age and mature fairly quickly.Once this foal grows up, the owner will place a bell around the neck of the horse in case it becomes lost somewhere in the Bonaigua Pass in Catalonia, Spain.
These horses are very well taken care of and seem to love the easy and clean life that they lead.Hiking through the Pyrenees in Catalonia, Spain is an incredible journey to take in the summer months and when you reach Bonaigua Pass, the sight of these animals is breathtaking. You can watch young foals make their way around the meadows and full grown adults run freely under the blue sky high in the Pyrenees.
