Surrounding by lush greenery stands the Castillo de Loarre in Huesca, Aragon in Spain which towers high above the village of Loarre and the Ebro Plain. The Ebro Plain is absolutely astounding from the castle grounds where the desert land offers acres of wheat fields, forests and villages of very old traditions.Around the 11th and 12th centuries this castle in Huesca, Aragon was near completion and in the 13th and 14th centuries the outer stone walls were erected. The church and the castle have been reconstructed because as years passed a number of the walls and towers have deteriorated and collapsed.Pay close attention to your steps after entering the castle as you will tour through loose patches in the paths, steps and ladders where the remains of the stones have worked themselves loose.
