Castillo de Loarre in Huesca, Aragon in Spain is surrounded by a double circuit of walls with round towers, above which rises the church. The church was built to the east of the chapel and on the south side a barrel-vaulted stairway runs under the width of the church which leads to the doorway on the north flank. There are two separate stairways which give you access to the church.This church was built over a vault which originally belonged to an Augustinian monastery located within the castle walls. The columns situated in the center of the church of Castillo de Loarre are beautifully designed with floral sections at the head of the columns.The Castillo de Loarre in Huesca, Aragon stands high above the village and is considered one of the finest Romanesque castles in Spain.
