The light of sunset catches the smoke and pollution being belched out into the air, day and night from these two industrial stacks in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario.
More and more Canadians are becoming aware of and opposed to industrial air pollution. Good air quality (as well as water quality) are some of the main ingredients for a healthy and long life. However, it is believed that some 40 Canadians die prematurely each day from air pollution related illnesses.

I photographed this photo with the digital SLR camera model Canon EOS-1Ds Mark II, aperture of f/7.1, exposure time of 1/40 sec. on ISO 100, as always I used a original Canon Lens, the focus lenght for this picture was 310mm.
