The Ponte Vecchio, also meaning "Old Bridge" in Italian, spans the Arno River at its narrowest point in the City of Florence in Tuscany, Italy in Europe. The architecture of this Italian bridge dates back to 996, but after a flood in 1117 and again in 1333, the Ponte Vecchio was swept away. In 1345, the bridge was redesigned and the beauty of it still adorns the City of Florence.
