The city of Jaen went through some very traumatizing times especially during the Spanish Civil War and when you visit the cathedral, you will learn of the poor people that were imprisoned there.Today, when tourists come to the city of Jaen in Andalucia, Spain, they will find a unique city filled with history, culture, education, modern technology and a place that is thriving from being the world capital of olive oil. The city is surrounded by the Sierra Morena, the Segura and Cazorla, Parapanda, Lucena and Segura mountain ranges.
