Johann Wolfgang Goethe was a man of many talents such as a poet, novelist, dramatist, humanist, scientist, theorist, painter and a minister of state for the duchy of Weimar for ten years. He was one of the key figures of German literature and his works became a source of inspiration in many areas and he was considered one of history's greatest geniuses.Johann Wolfgang Goethe was born in August 28, 1749 and died in March 22, 1832 where a memorial statue now stands in Burggarten, Vienna in Austria. The list of his famous works is quite extensive and varies in an assortment of different categories.In the last year of Johann Wolfgang Goethe's life he fell in love with a 19 year old which turned into a great disappointment for him. This is when he wrote his most personal poem and then he took a turn for the worse.
