At the start of the Heaphy Track in the Kahurangi National Park. Translated from Maori to English means "treasured possession" and looking at these Kahurangi National Park pictures you can see why. A fabulous mix of untouched wilderness, while still having ample walking tracks providing access to wild rivers, coastal vistas, plateaux and wild alpine herbfields. I spent a few days taking Kahurangi National Park pictures and found it hard to leave with such an abundance of beauty and diverse landscape. This picture is of the Kohaihai River at Scotts Beach, at the start of the world famous Heaphy Track.
