The area surrounding the village of Kaltern is one of vineyards stretching out as far as the eye can see, interpersed with olive and cypress trees with the glittering water of Lake Kaltern.Kaltern or Caldaro as known in Italian is situated in the heart of the famous Wine region of South Tirol, Italy. The favourable climate and soil conditions make the area one of the best in the world for growing wine grapes.Lake Kaltern is also known as one of the warmest bathing lakes in an alpine area where the water temperature reaches 26 degree celcius at times during the summer months.The region of South Tirol in Italy is one of rolling countryside, stunning rugged peaks and pristine lakes such as Lake Kaltern.

I photographed this photo with the digital SLR camera model Canon EOS-1Ds Mark II, aperture of f/5.6, exposure time of 1/125 sec. on ISO 100, as always I used a original Canon Lens, the focus lenght for this picture was 55mm.
