Inside one of the cottages along Golden Lane at the Prague Castle in the Czech Republic in Europe, an exhibit of armour is mounted on a wooden board. This protective armour was necessary for a knight during the Middle Ages when fighting a battle. In the early years, a knight would be protected with a suit made of metal rings but as the years progressed, the weapons during battle became more powerful and dangerous and plate armour was invented. At first, a knight was given armour which protected their chests, shoulders and head and it was not too long after that, an entire suit of armour was available. Many people who visit Golden Lane at Prague Castle find the armour exhibits extremely interesting.Knight armour display in a cottage in the Golden Lane of the Prague Castle, Prague, Czech Republic, Europe.
