The colouration of the Paint Pot pools situated in the Kootenay National Park, is from minerals such as iron oxide. The orcher was used by the Ktunaxa, Stoney, and PiedsNoirs tribes for painting clothing, tipis, drawing on rocks, and on their skin for ceremonies. Kootenay National Park is found in British Columbia, Canada.
