La Foce is a gorgeous area in Tuscany, which contains old villas, farms, Tuscan buildings and a chance to see some exceptional countryside such as interesting and zigzagging roads lined with Cypress trees as seen here. La Foce is an area of Tuscany that has many beautiful gardens to explore and see and tourists often make time to come to this area for the landscape.
If you rent a car and drive through this area, you will see areas like this road here that give you a good look at the famous Cypress tree that Tuscany is known for. It is even known now at the 'Tuscan Cypress Tree' but many people who have studied them and how they came to be in Tuscany, think that they actually came from Syria or Persia and were brought to this area thousands of years ago as they are thought to have mystical qualities. ... continue below the picture...

The fact that these trees are growing so strong here and so close to the road is because they like open sunny spaces like this to grow in. They will grow in the shade, but they have taken well to the soil that is commonly found in the Tuscany and so they will grow well in open spaces like this. They are easy to spot because they grow so straight and tall and last for so long.
