The green water of Lake Ngakoro in Wai-o-tapu Thermal Wonderland in New Zealand remains calm as the cloudy sky and volcanic landscape reflects across the surface.
While standing on the banks of Lake Ngakoro, a strong aroma of sulphur hangs around in the air from the geothermal activity happening underground.Three different trails which are self-guided, take visitors on a tour around the Wai-o-tapu Thermal Wonderland, one being the Ngakoro Loop Track which is the longest of the three.
