The historic city of Landshut was founded in 1204 along with one of its major landmarks, the Trausnitz Castle. St Martin's Church, the other main landmark and tourist attraction in the city was built between 1389 and ca 1500. This picture showing the castle and church was taken at dusk from the banks of the Isar River.
The Isar River begins it's journey in the Karwendel Range in the alps of Tyrol, Austria and ends when it joins the Danube River near Deggendorf. It is one of the most important tributaries of the Danube.
