If you ever want to read or do some research, the monastic library at the Stift Melk in Austria, Europe has walls shelved with historic books. Each book is stacked on wooden shelves with golden plaques that relate information about each section.Many of the books at the Stift Melk library are handwritten manuscripts from centuries past as this library was once a famous place for manuscript productions. There are two levels of walls filled with books as there is a balcony above where more rare books are shelved. ... still well used by students that attend school at this abbey where there is a choice of about 100,000 books and historic manuscripts for them to choose from.Hours could be spent touring this library as most people have never seen such a rare and extensive collection of books.
