The Akrotiri Lighthouse built by a French company in 1892, is situated at the southern most tip on the main island of Santorini, Thira.
The square tower of the light, which was originally fuelled by petroleum, stands at 10 metres on rocky cliffs and is a major archaeological site, featuring ancient ruins from the Minoan era.
The views from its cliff top position are simply breathtaking, looking out across the caldera and the Aegean Sea!
