Red and white striped lilies beautify the village of Loarre in Huesca, Aragon in Spain, Europe. These lilies grow freely along the wall of the churches, houses and buildings as they enjoy basking in the sunlight.
Lilies are the oldest recorded flower and are extremely hardy so the bulbs can withstand very frigid winters. Each bulb usually grows one stock and produces 3 - 12 blooms or more depending on what level of maturity the plant is at. In due time the bulb will split and become two stalks and then the next season the bulb will split and be two separate bulbs. The more bulbs that the lilies split into each season will make the plant have more flowers and eventually be a beautiful mass of blooms.
