The northern lights are a magnetic storm from the solar rays of the sun. They are the best to see in Alaska between fall and spring. Northern lights are also known as aurora borealis.

I photographed this photo with the digital SLR camera model Canon EOS-1DS, aperture of f/2.8, exposure time of 1500000/10 sec. on ISO 400, as always I used a original Canon Lens, the focus lenght for this picture was 53mm.
