At the Victoria Butterfly Gardens on Vancouver Island, the Malachite Butterfly is easily spotted as it flutters by you because of its stunning colors.The adults of the Malachite Butterfly feed mainly on flower nectar and decayed fruit at the Victoria Butterfly Gardens but in the wild they also eat dead animals or bat dung. One of their favorite places for a feeding ground is a plantation of coffee, tea or cocoa.In the fascinating world at the Victoria Butterfly Gardens there are fifty different species of butterflies to view and enjoy.
