The natural bridge is a seventeen meter high limestone arch which spans the Mangapohue Stream and is all that is left of the ancient cave system. The trail that takes you through the natural wonders of this reserve is about a twenty-five minute walk and is a place of strong cultural and spiritual significance to the Maori people of New Zealand.
