A flax weaving demonstration by the Maori women takes place at the Wairakei Terraces near Taupo on the North Island of New Zealand. These women spend hours flax weaving while creating some beautiful artwork which can be used around the village or as traditional clothing for the Maori warriors.A few priceless items which are created by these women while flax weaving are baskets, clothes, purses, briefcases or clothing.
