The locals get into the spirit of the annual Medieval Market held each year at the Plaza de la Corredera. Dressed in typical medieval clothing they set up their stalls around the plaza to sell wares to tourists and residents in the city of Cordoba, Andalusia, Spain.
Tantalizing smells of food and incense waft through the air and add to the atmosphere of the Medieval Market.
Food tents with banquet seating and tables are full of people while on the open wood barbecues ribs and rotisserie style meats are prepared. Among the sweets are chocolate covered crepes and candies.
The annual medieval market is held every year near the end of January (normally around 23, 24, 25 January).
