Many tourists that come to Mission Bay in Auckland on the North Island of NZ love to stroll along the promenade that runs along the waterfront. The promenade is the ideal place on a sunny afternoon in Mission Bay to take in some sunshine, meet up with friends or enjoy the scenery.Large trees shade parts of the promenade where people can relax and take in the exquisite aroma of the sea. The sandy beach on one side of the promenade is great for beach lovers and the grass covering the landscape on the other is the ideal place for a picnic or to let the kids run around the playground.Many people spend their time rollerblading, biking and jogging along the promenade while others play volleyball, soccer or frisbee on the beach.
