In the winter, the falls in Montmorency Falls Park in Quebec, Canada freeze and turn into a sheet of ice. Many tourists come to Montmorency Park to view these ice falls as they are quite an impressive sight to see. As a winter activity around Quebec City, people come to the falls and attempt to scale the ice walls.
Montmorency Falls is in Parc de la Chute Provincial Park which is approximately 7 miles NE of Quebec City. The falls at Montmorency Park reach a height of 272 feet which makes them the highest waterfalls in Quebec. In the summer the falls flow at full force and as the colder weather approaches they transform into ice.
Montmorency Falls is a tourist attraction that you do not want to miss when visiting Quebec City. Whether it is spring, summer, autumn or winter, the Montmorency Falls are a spectular sight for any memory book.
