The Mozarthaus in the downtown core of Vienna, Austria is best known as where Mozart resided from 1784 to 1787. Mozart lived at many different places in Vienna throughout his life but this apartment is where he stayed the longest and is the only one that remains standing to this day.The address for this place of residence was Domgasse number 5 and it was an elegant location where he had four large rooms, two smaller ones and a kitchen. During this time in Mozart's life, he was a well known composer, had many admired and respected friends, performed a vast amount of concerts and it was here that he created some of his best compositions.It was not until January 27th, 2006 that the Mozarthaus in Vienna, Austria was officially opened which was also the date of Mozart's birth 250 years ago.
