Often shrouded by cloud, it is a glorious sight to see the volcanic cone peak of Mount Taranaki (aka Mt Egmont) at Mount Egmont National Park especially during sunset.
Mt Egmont dominates the Taranki region landscape from every conceivable angle since it is the second highest mountain on the North Island of New Zealand. The Egmont National Park encompasses the mountain and the immediate area surrounding it and has a total area of 33,534 hectares or 335 sq km.

... and day walks come to an end, it is a stunning sight to see the near perfect cone shaped mountain silhouetted against the clear evening sky during sunset and from a distance you can take in the entire scene.

I photographed this photo with the digital SLR camera model Canon EOS-1Ds Mark II, aperture of f/20.0, exposure time of 13/1 sec. on ISO 50, as always I used a original Canon Lens, the focus lenght for this picture was 400mm.
