Mt Taranaki is a gigantic conical volcano which rises to 2518 metres in the sunset sky on the North Island of New Zealand. This massive volcano dominates the landscape as the sun glistens off the snow covered peak at sunset.Surrounded by the lush rainforest that is protected by the National Parks you can get a beautiful photo of this volcano at any time of year. During the spring and summer months, the scent of the leaves and blossoms waft through the air as bees buzz around the blossoming flowers.Mt Taranaki provides tourists and locals with some of the best climbing and skiing in the New Zealand area. I photographed this photo with the digital SLR camera model Canon EOS-1Ds Mark II, aperture of f/16.0, exposure time of 1/4 sec. on ISO 50, as always I used a original Canon Lens, the focus lenght for this picture was 365mm.
