For one of the best overviews of the Needles District of Canyonlands National Park is from the Canyon Rim Recreational Area. It is not actually part of the National Park however it affords some of the best views. The viewing area is situated in some places on overhangs of rock with a sheer drop to the canyon floor. The Needles District of Canyonlands National Park features some fascinating geological formations and is situated in Utah, USA.
