When embarking on a tractor and trailer adventure from Clive in the Hawkes Bay of New Zealand, you had better be ready to get close to nature. This popular tourist attraction takes passengers along the rugged coastline by a trailer drawn by a bright red vintage tractor to the world's most accessible gannet colony at Cape Kidnappers.
As you bump along the beautiful New Zealand coastline your guide, who also drives the tractor, points out all the geological wonders not to mention navigating any slips which may have occurred overnight. This attraction is available for those of moderate fitness and especially those interested in nature, both the wildlife and geology. Once at Cape Kidnappers a 25 minute walk brings you to one of the gannet colonies.
