Stock photo of a New Zealand Fern, found in the South Island. There are as many as 190 native New Zealand Fern species with the most iconic of all being the silver fern - a symbol of national pride. An ever increasingly popular plant with landscapers the New Zealand fern is exported internationally with as many as 28,000 plants exported to the UK alone. This picture shows the koru, which is the gently unfurling frond of the tree fern.
