On the North Island of New Zealand, tourists do some fishing along the cliffs of Castle Point. This popular beach resort in New Zealand draws many vacationers.
The cliffs of Castle Point are a perfect place for a day of fishing. With rod and cooler in hand, be sure not to forget the sunscreen as the mix of the New Zealand sun and ocean breeze can turn you into a lobster within a few hours.
As you enjoy the day on the cliffs trying your luck at fishing, you may also be fortunate enough to encounter sea birds and fur seals. On occasion there have been known spottings of sea elephants and sea leopards.
If you plan a vacation to New Zealand, be sure to go to Castle Point for the beautiful scenery, beaches and coastal fishing.
