Land Sailing is a very exciting outdoor activity to learn and can be enjoyed by people from many walks of life. The only thing that is really a necessity in the sport besides the equipment, is the wind, and the more wind, the faster you can go.It is an extremely safe sport as each sailer has a safety belt attached and leg straps. It is recommended that a helmet, gloves and especially eye protection be part of the attire needed for land sailing as flying sand can be a hazard. All that is required to control the kart is for the sailer to steer with one hand and hang on to the sheet rope with the other. You will soon learn how to maneuver this fascinating contraption and sailing along Orewa Beach in New Zealand is a great way to spend an afternoon.Beaches are not the only place that land Sailing is found as car parks, tracks and recreation areas are also ideal spots.
