This beautiful city of North Bay is located in Northeastern, Ontario stretching along the shoreline of Lake Nipissing. A city of about 54,000 people and is about 210 miles north of the larger city known as Toronto.The waterfront walkway along the city of North Bay, Ontario was developed in the 1980's and is an amazing scenic stroll for about a mile. This promenade lies next to the downtown core of the city of North Bay and major plans are in store for this section.By the year 2011, there are hopes that there will be a large park with carousels, gardens, a play area for kids and an miniature train. All of this will add to the beauty of the city and will hopefully bring in a vast amount of tourists.Along the streets of downtown North Bay you will find many restored heritage buildings, cobblestone streets, unique shops and plenty of restaurants and hotels.
