During the summer, a cruise ship is a common sight in the water ways off Northern Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada as they make their way back and forth to Alaska. As they pass through the straits, passengers aboard get a picturesque view of the spectacular scenery that surrounds Northern Vancouver Island.
In the backdrop, tiers of mountain hillsides adorn the landscape with the farthest peaks still being covered in snow. The soft blue sky with thin wisps of clouds floating aimlessly above, encompass the area off Northern Vancouver Island making it easy for passengers aboard the cruise ship to enjoy the scenery.
Killer Whales are also a common sight around Northern Vancouver Island from July to October and people aboard the cruise ship should always keep their eyes peeled for any blows. When the cruise ships passes through these waters, they will radio other water vessels to see if any Killer Whales are in the area so that they can also stop and have a look these black and white miracles. ... continue below the picture...
Most days off Northern Vancouver Island are very peaceful and the waters are fairly calm when each cruise ship passes through but captains are always aware of any unwanted storms. These waters can become extremely ferocious when the winds, rains and fog join forces and it is best to leave the ocean waters off Northern Vancouver Island to the larger ships when storms blow through.
