The islands off Northern Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada become silhouetted as the sun slowly disappears over the horizon leaving behind a golden glow which spans the sky. Small dark clouds block out the brightness of the sun, but the golden hues reflect off the stillness of the ocean.Northern Vancouver Island has an endless list of things for tourists to see and do, but nothing is prettier than a picturesque summer sunset. Whale watching is one of the most prominent features that Northern Vancouver Island has to offer but sightseeing, caving hiking, kayaking, diving, fishing and various types of wildlife viewing has attracted many tourists.Ferry rides will take visitors from Port McNeill over to Sointula on Malcolm Island and Alert Bay on Cormorant Island where culture and heritage is still very much alive in the native villages.
