Rock ledges in the Tongass National Forest in Alaska are amazing locations to view the Nugget Creek Falls. Standing on the rocks and looking up at the falls cascading down the Nugget Glacier valley makes one feel very small and powerless.
Guided hiking or walking tours are made available to tourists which will also give you a history lesson of the entire area plus scenic hideaways that you probably wouldn't find on your own.
While on your journey, about 1/2 mile along you will find the Mendenhall Glacier Visitors Building where there is information and details of the Alaskan Mendenhall Glacier.
