The Ecola State Park offers stunning views out towards the Pacific Ocean. On the day we visited the winds were storm force and the waves pounded the Oregon shore. Looking from the Chapman Point platform even this quiet bay has rough ocean waves rolling in. The sheer force of nature was stunning and beautiful as the ocean spray caught the sunlight and reflected a pretty rainbow. The more open shore of Cannon Beach on the other side of the point was taking the same pounding by the mighty Pacific Ocean.
