The Niagara Falls play a large part in Ontario travel and tourism. The falls attract as many as 18 million visitors each year to Ontario, Canada. The third largest waterfall in the world, travelers come from around the globe to see the spectacle of the Niagara River plunging 167 feet over the Horseshoe Falls, creating a plume of mist as it reaches the pool below.
There are many travel activities available in the town of Niagara including a tour behind the falls. If you come in the high season you should plan ahead, often travel and tourist related facilities are booked well in advance, which is often the case for the southern part of Ontario.
I photographed this travel related photo of the Niagara River falling into Horseshoe Falls during a hazy but colorful sunset, what makes the picture special is the color contrast between the water and the sky.
