Sea kayaking is a beautiful way to see the scenery off Northern Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada and scour the ocean surface for Orca. These four know that Orca are heading their way, so they stop and wait for the family of Orca to pass by.
The Orca that are heading in the direction of the kayakers may change course at any time or these four will get lucky enough that the Orca will surface close to them. The proper technique when kayaking with Orca is to stop and let them come to you, chasing the Orca down is not a wise decision.
Sea kayaking is a very popular outdoor activity off Northern Vancouver Island and many people take excursions to see the killer whales. Week long adventures are available where you can stop at different beaches overnight and if the planets line up for you, the Orca will swim by and you can paddle like crazy to get out there.

You can not ask for anything more off Northern Vancouver Island, than the sun shining, calm waters, beautiful snow covered peaks in the background and Orca heading in your direction.
