I love photographing wildlife in its environment, especially when it is as scenic as along the Vancouver Island coast.Even better when the wildlife, in this case my favourite animals, killer whales aka orca whales perform on top of it.
One special sight one needs to be more then thankful is to see orcas spy hopping, when a family is doing it all at once then this will leave a long term memory. In this case it could not been much better, just after sunset the I15 resident killer whale pod decided to start playing right in front of the Robson Bight Ecological Reserve.
What else to say...I'm more then happy that I was able to capture this surprising event.
Four spy hopping killer whales after sunset in Johnstone Strait close to the Robson Bight Ecological Reserve in British Columbia, Canada.
