The Pacific Ocean can become a monster of very serious power when a massive storm blows along the Oregon Coast, but pictures like this particular one are a fairly common sight. The waves are rolling in one after another and as they crash against the boulders that sit along the Oregon Coast, an incredible spray shoots off the crest of the waves. When the wind howls along the coast, the spray can be sent for quite a distance creating magnificent pictures.The sunlight barely makes it through the fog but emits enough light to send out a sparkling display across the Pacific Ocean. On days like these, it is a stunning show of nature's power when you watch the Pacific Ocean toss and turn before reaching the shore.Storm pictures are a photographer's dream but if severe weather warnings are posted, the Oregon Coast is not a wise place to be. ... If you are one of those people that love to watch a good storm along the Oregon Coast, be sure to dress for the occasion. Boots, rain clothes, a warm jacket, mitts and a thermos full of a hot beverage are all required as you watch the Pacific Ocean whip up swells in the 18-20 foot range. If you are a storm lover but staying warm is more important, rent some accommodations along the beach and watch from the warmth of the room.After a good Oregon Coast storm and all has settled down, wander the beach and see what the Pacific Ocean has left along the shore.
