Construction of the Palace of Charles V on the grounds of La Alhambra in the city of Granada began in 1527 - commissioned by the Christian Emperor. Its construction has been subjected to many interruptions and remains unfinished to this day with only two of its four facades completed.
The Palace of Charles V is built in a Renaissance style of architecture - exuding an impression of solidity, sobriety, and classical elegance.
