The modern resort town of Palamos is a popular boating vacation destination along the Costa Brava in Catalonia, Spain. This bustling tourist town offers beautiful beaches and is a great departure point for diving.The town of Palamos was founded in 1277 and still retains its old quarter. New development in the town of Palamos has taken place away from the old portion of the town so there is a distinct old and new. The fishing industry is also a large part of the economy in Palamos and fresh caught fish is available on the quayside in the late afternoon.
