Olbram Zoubeck Sochy is the most famous sculptor in the whole of the Czech Republic, due to the kind of charismatic work that he produces and his unique style of making art come to life.
As can be seen here, these sculptures have an almost haunting, powerful quality to them. They are both lifelike and completely disconnected from life at the same time. Olbram Zoubeck Sochy, born April 21 1926, in Prague and was not always destined to be an artist. When he first applied to the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, he was not accepted, and one of the Czech Republic's most famous artists may never have had the chance to be discovered. However, he did end up studying at the Academy of Arts, and became an expert in both graffiti and stone sculptures. The Czech Republic is very proud of their artist and his work will always be able to be seen across the country, especially in the capital city.
