Stock photos of penguins in the south island of New Zealand. The Yellow Eyed Penguin on the Otago Peninsula is the world's rarest penguin. During their breeding season, they come ashore every evening and waddle up the beach to their nest site which can be as far as one kilometre inland. These photos of penguins took a while to prepare for, as I had to set up a blind before they came ashore and make sure I was extremely quiet and still. I like to get photos of penguins as they are such a cute creature.
