On a helicopter tour over Southern Labrador in Newfoundland Labrador, lunch time was nearing, so the pilot thought it might be nice to touch down. In the Mealy Mountains we landed, hiked across the rocky banks and pulled out our picnic hamper as we listened to the sounds of a waterfall rushing down the rock cliffs.This is the ideal place for a picnic where not another soul is heard and the wilderness and nature of the Mealy Mountains in Southern Labrador surrounds you. A fine meal of meats, cheeses, crackers, bread and of course a fine bottle of red wine is what appears from out of the picnic hamper. The large rocks on the banks of the river have large flat surfaces which gives one plenty of room to lay out all the goods from your picnic hamper with lots of extra room for relaxing. After the picnic was over and we got some fantastic pictures of the landscape of the Mealy Mountains in Southern Labrador, we boarded the helicopter and continued on our tour. ... continue below the picture...
... The next time that your spouse or loved one brings up the idea of a picnic, be sure to mention a place you know such as this area around Southern Labrador.
