Photo: Port McNeill Northern Vancouver Island

A town that had its beginnings as a logging camp in the 1930's, Port McNeill is now the hub of Northern Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada.

A gem in the heart of the wilderness of Northern Vancouver Island, Port McNeill was founded as a logging camp back in 1936 but developed to the point of becoming incorporated in 1966. Since then the town has evolved and grown and is now an important base for many operations.
